WHAT IT IS: A unique artist to the country format, the 22 year-old native of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., built an online army of fans, by posting videos of original and cover songs to his personal social profiles, which led to the viral success of his 2014 independent single, “Don’t Go City on Me,” and his crowd-funded EP Closer. The set debuted at #11 on iTunes and, by October 2015, reached #1 on the country chart. His official debut single, “Used to Love You Sober,” which also went to #1 on the country singles chart, has now sold more than 250k copies. His latest release, Chapter 1, shot to #1 on the iTunes country albums chart and hit #1 on iTunes overall. The baritone artist, who co-penned four of the five tracks on Chapter 1, is currently on a headlining tour with 40+ sold-out shows and is set to join Florida Georgia Line for their 2016 Dig Your Roots Tour, starting in May.
