SONY PUB WELCOMES TAIKO INTO THE FOLD
8/17/22

Sony Music Publishing has inked a global pub deal with songwriter/producer Taiko.

After catching the attention of Latin Grammy-winning producer and Sony Pub songwriter Sky Rompiendo, Taiko went on to sign with Rompiendo's imprint, Black Koi Entertainment. Since then, he has helped craft hits for a bevy of Latin artists, including J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Ozuna, Zion & Lennox and Paloma Mami.

Taiko says, "[I'm] happy to join the Sony Music Publishing family and take a new step together with Black Koi, who have accompanied me throughout this journey."

Taiko's work on Balvin's "Rojo" single led to his first Latin Grammy nomination, while Balvin's subsequent hit, "Tu Veneno," reached #1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart in its opening week.

President & CEO of Sony Music Publishing Latin America & US Latin Jorge Mejia says, "Together with Sky and Black Koi Entertainment, we can’t wait to collaborate with him and contribute to what’s already starting to be a stellar career."
