“And the Writer Is…” the podcast dedicated to interviews with songwriters, has crossed the million-download mark this week after a season that included several notable guests—including Ryan Tedder and Nick Jonas. The venture is a JV between Big Deal Music Group, Mega House Music, Ross Golan and Joe London.

Created and hosted by Golan, who’s penned songs for Selena Gomez, Flo Rida, Lady Antebellum and Ariana Grande, among others, and produced by London, who’s penned for Thomas Rhett, Jason Derulo, Pitbull and more, opens a dialogue that “celebrates the people who compose the hits.”

What started as a concept for Golan has “taken a whole village to make it successful.” London adds, “Ross and I never thought our initial conversation about starting a songwriter podcast would be heard by even 100 people, let alone 1 million,” but three seasons later, the podcast that debuted in 2017 has climbed to the top. Prior guests have included (among many others) Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Charlie Puth, Mike Posner, Jack Antonoff, Rhett and Bebe Rexha.
