AIMP GATHERS INDIES FOR SUMMIT
6/15/17

The Association of Independent Music Publishers packed the Princeton Club in New York this week for an afternoon-long Indie Music Publishing Summit that kicked off with a lunchtime discussion on issues facing publishers today. The group cheered Spotify’s “Secret Genius” program for songwriters, kvetched about the lack of centralized platforms for royalty collections and laughed at running jokes about program coordinator Phil Ciadella. Providing the indie perspective on a day that included Downtown's COO Andrew Bergman chatting with Benny Blanco and ABKCO’s Alisa Coleman grilling trade group reps were, from left, Kobalt Music President Laurent Hubert; Golnar Khosrowshahi, Founder and President, Reservoir; Jake Wisely, CEO, Bicycle Music Co.; and Maria Egan, President, Pulse Music Publishing.
