TIM RAINEY JOINS IHEARTMEDIA

iHeartMedia has tapped Tim Rainey as the new program director of heritage Top 40 KKRZ (Z100) and Rhythmic KXJM (Jam'n 107.5)/Portland, OR.

"We're very excited to be adding Tim to our programming team in Portland," said Rich Moore, SVP of programming for iHeartMedia Seattle and Portland. "Tim has great experience and creativity for this role and has a tremendous passion for this business. We can't wait to get going."

Rainey arrives in Portland from Orange County-based Southern California News Group, where he has served as Sr. Director of content marketing since 2022. His most recent programming position was Audacy Top 40 KUDL (106.5 The End)/Sacramento from 2015 until early 2021. His previous major programming stops include former CBS RadioTop 40 WDZH (98.7 AMP Radio)/Detroit and former Radio One Top 40 WNOU/Indianapolis.

Rainey got his start in radio at 13, interning as a board op at KGVM in his hometown of Gardnerville, NV. He later relocated to Reno, working at KDOT, KLCA and KWNZ, before moving to Las Vegas, where he graduated from UNLV in 2004 with a degree in broadcast journalism.

"I am ecstatic to join this amazing iHeartMedia team that pioneers innovation and authenticity in audience entertainment and engagement," said Rainey. "The future of audio is in great hands, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it. Thank you to Maynard, Rich Moore, Marshal Burgess, Michael LaCrosse, Dylan Sprague and the rest of the iHeartMedia team for this amazing opportunity."
