NOISEMAKERS:
A HOLIDAY TREAT

In our final roundup of 2024, we present eight more stars of tomorrow from various parts of the biz whose dedication and effort make their superiors look good.

This week's entrants will also find their faces in our last mag of the year, which could make for a great (or dismal) conversation starter at their holiday dinners.

Kelsey Miller
Senior Director, Digital, Republic Records

Miller’s digital journey took her from Disney Music to AWAL and UMG before she landed at Republic, where she’s been steering strategy. Highlights include helping Republic shatter records with seven out of 10 titles on the Top 200 and navigating viral phenomena like ZAYN’s comeback and TikTok-dominating The Dare’s “Girls.” She’s also been focused on albums from Jelly Roll and The Dare, plus more from Morgan Wallen and Dylan Gossett, among others. Miller grew up speaking French and can hold her own in conversational Latin. Our English is rusty.

Nicolas Cortazar
SVP, Strategy & Operations, Warner Music Latin America

Cortazar will never forget meeting childhood heroes Molotov at the Casa Warner event during the 2022 Latin Grammys. He recently spearheaded and closed a strategic-investment deal with Sua Música—Brazil’s largest independent music platform—through Warner Music Brazil and ADA to bolster WMG’s influence in Brazil’s regional music scene. The partnership will support 1,000+ artists such as Tarcísio do Acordeon, Vitor Fernandes and Thiago Aquino. An aviation enthusiast, Cortazar once founded and sold a startup airline in Colombia. We’re on the no-fly list.

Natasha Zemlin
Director, Sports & Gaming, Interscope/Capitol Records

Zemlin hosted the NFL for their Career Day series, sparking Madden’s first EP, and crafted a Formula 1-infused rollout for Camila Cabello’s C,XOXO. Additionally, she helped curate music for Netflix’s Starting 5 and recently worked on mgk’s NFL Munich halftime show, plus UMG x NFL’s first merch collab under the new deal. Focused on Kendrick Lamar’s 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, she’s also amplifying hits like Hanumankind’s “Big Dawgs” and Quavo & Lenny Kravitz’s “FLY.” Zemlin holds dual U.S. and U.K. citizenship. Our passport was seized. Long story.

Osé Djan
Director, Digital Marketing, Epic Records

Djan entered the industry as part of a team that delivered three #1 albums—courtesy of Young Thug, Gunna and the YSL compilation Slime Language 2. At Epic, he’s led campaigns for 21 Savage’s american dream and supported Future and Metro Boomin’s collaborative projects. Now, he’s driving Real Boston Richey’s debut, Richey Rich, including TikTok hit “Help Me,” and expanding Epic’s global footprint with artists like Oxlade (whose “KU LO SA” is certified gold) and SPINALL. Djan was an extra in Amistad straight out the womb. We’ve been weasels since birth.

Ana Ginter
Director, Digital Marketing, Warner Records

Ginter went from working with Linkin Park on the management side for four years to joining their label and witnessing their iconic comeback. She was also excited for Zach Bryan’s self-titled album and single “I Remember Everything” f/Kacey Musgraves, celebrating #1 with the Warner family. And after a banner year with Green Day, Bryan and Linkin Park, Ginter—now working with the emerging artist roster—is gearing up for a busy 2025 with Dasha and Michael Marcagi. Once a college gymnast, Ginter can still backflip. We pulled a neck muscle while scrolling.

Lucas Barbosa
Management Lead, Habibi

Barbosa was thrilled to see client Mora sell out Bogotá’s Movistar Arena—a venue he grew up attending—in just four hours. Now, he’s wrapping up Grupo Frontera’s tour, which included 38 arena shows in the U.S. and Mexico, plus a collab with the Transformers franchise for the show’s visuals, introducing the first Latin character, “Forastero,” designed by the band, to be part of the Transformers franchise and movies. Once a professional paintballer, Barbosa was named the Colombian champion and played the World Cup in Orlando. We still have self-inflicted paintball wounds.

Miranda Bonavia
Artist & Label Relations Manager, Amazon Music

Bonavia once drove 16,000km in 20 days while managing Ruby Waters on tour and went fly-fishing in Alaska with artist Allan Rayman. At Amazon, she got Ed Sheeran to snap selfies with a Toronto billboard she orchestrated, launched the first Canadian Amazon Music City Sessions with Nelly Furtado, created an Amazon Music Original with Josh Ross for Prime Monday Night Hockey, is behind the new “On the Record” campaign featuring writers and producers, and has the first Punjabi Amazon Original in the works. Bonavia was a competitive dancer. We need to sit down.

Lauren Morris-Ruff
align PR

Morris-Ruff’s career highlights include working on ZAYN’s latest album, ROOM UNDER THE STAIRS, and orchestrating his first TV appearance in eight years on Fallon. Lately, she’s been all about Demi Lovato’s directorial debut, CHILD STAR (now streaming on Hulu), and diving into projects with clients like Lil Wayne, Ciara, Manuel Turizo, Ruel, Belinda, Meg Donnelly, plus more. Morris-Ruff was voted “Most Likely to Succeed” in high school. We were stuffed in lockers.
