Kendrick Lamar's sixth album, GNX (pgLang/Interscope), is proving its immense staying power nearly three weeks after release.
Not only is it still #2, bested only by Taylor Swift's THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (and her clever ANTHOLOGY marketing maneuver), it's also still getting Shazammers to Shazam. For a second nonconsecutive week, "tv off" f/Lefty Gunplay is the platform's Biggest Mover. Another song from the album, "luther" f/SZA, is #2.
Sliding in at #3 is "Better Year" by country singer Sam Barber, who released a live version of the Restless Mind (Lockeland Springs/Atlantic) cut earlier this week. At #4 is "Pay No Rent," a 2017 song by Turnpike Troubadours, which got a big streaming boost after the group appeared in a recent episode of Yellowstone. The #5 spot belongs to Lewis Capaldi and his 2023 single "Love the Hell Out of You." The song saw significant action after being included in the Blake Lively film It Ends With Us, which recently made its debut on Netflix.
Now, if you'll excuse me, this tinsel isn't going to throw itself at the tree.
