CARIN IS SHARIN'

Backstage at the final stop of Carin León's Boca Chueca Tour—a sold-out show before 65k fans at Mexico City’s GNO Seguros—the star was visited by a delegation from his publisher, UMPG, headed by chief Jody Gerson. She and her colleagues noted that the atmosphere of festivity was significantly enhanced by our absence. León, who dropped his second album of 2024, Palabra de To’s (Island/Virgin), on 12/5, is capping off a spectacular year that also included a Latin Grammy win for Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album for Boca Chueca. He'll return to the road for another round of dates starting 4/10 at Tampa’s Amalie Arena. Seen just before a jovial discussion about catalog valuation are (l-r): UMPG President of Latin America and U.S. Latin Alexandra Lioutikoff and Managing Director of Mexico and Central America Yadira Moreno, León, Gerson and manager Jorge Juarez.
