Virgin Music Group and Riot Games have combined to raise quite a ruckus with the soundtrack to the animated Netflix series Arcane, which premiered its second and final season late last month.
The soundtrack features contributions by acts as diverse as King Princess, Twenty One Pilots and Stromae, whose "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" hit #1 on Spotify in France, generating the most streams in a single day for any French-language track in the platform's history. Multiple other cuts from the collection currently appear on Spotify’s Viral 50 global chart.
“The Line,” Twenty One Pilots’ contribution to the set, was the most-added track at Alternative radio last week, underscoring the international appeal of the series and the soundtrack. Chinese star Eason Chan has achieved his greatest success abroad with “Isha’s Song.”
Imagine Dragons’ “Enemy,” which appeared in both seasons of the Hailee Steinfeld-starring League of Legends universe series, is also featured here.
