Thanksgiving is behind us and people went back to the movies, setting a new Black Friday record with $109m, easily surpassing 2013's $85m, and establishing the biggest thanksgiving period ever with roughly $422m across all films.
Leading the rush to the cinema over the 5-day period was Disney's Moana 2, which set a Thanksgiving box office record with $225m, joining Universal's Wicked ($118.2m) and Paramount's Gladiator II ($44.2m) as the must-sees this over the holiday weekend.
Now if only we could have brought our leftovers to the theater.
