TWO UPPED AT UMG’S CLASSICS & JAZZ

UMG’s Classics & Jazz division has upped Natasha Baldwin to president of Global Classics, Jazz & Screen, and Deutsche Grammophon President Clemens Trautmann will take on a newly expanded role.

Baldwin is currently EVP of Classics & Screen at Universal Music Publishing Group, where she leads the global classical- and screen-composer businesses. She will maintain her current responsibilities in her new role. Her expanded remit includes overseeing international strategy for such artists as Andrea Bocelli, Max Richter, Jon Batiste, Samara Joy, Ludovico Einaudi, Lang Lang and Lise Davidsen.

Based in London, Baldwin reports jointly to UMPG Chairman and CEO Jody Gerson and COO Marc Cimino as well as UMG Chairman of Global Classics & Jazz/Universal Music U.K. Chairman/CEO Dickon Stainer.

Stainer said Baldwin "is uniquely experienced to lead these genres of music into a new era," continuing, "Her cross-disciplinary skills in publishing and recording will offer a new and dynamic perspective to our artists and our many global partners.”

Meanwhile, Trautmann has been promoted to president of New Business Strategy, Global Classics.
