Sir Rod Stewart is the first artist confirmed for the already sold-out 2025 edition of the U.K.'s Glastonbury Festival, where he will occupy the annual Sunday-afternoon "legends" slot on 6/29.
The IAG-booked artist, who turns 80 next month, wrote on social media, "After all these years, I’m proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June. I’ll see you there!”
Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Neil Diamond and Kylie Minogue are among the acts who've previously served as veteran presences at Glastonbury, held at Worthy Farm in Somerset, England.
Stewart will be as busy as ever on the road in 2025, with a two-leg North American tour beginning 2/22 in Atlantic City and a Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace resuming 3/12.
The Rodfather will also tour Europe in April and May, then return to North America in July and August.
If you need HITS in the meantime, we'll be trying to perm and color what's left of our hair like the kid in the "Forever Young" video.
