BRITS RISING STAR NOMINEES REVEALED

Elmiene, Good Neighbours and Myles Smith have been nominated for the 2025 BRITs Rising Star award, which will be handed out on 12/5.

Soul/R&B artist Elmiene released two EPs last year, El-Mean and Marking My Time. He has continued to build momentum with a string of singles, covers and live recordings, including collaborations with Stormzy, Syd, Sampha, Lil Silva, BADBADNOTGOOD, A$AP Ferg, D’Mile and Dahi.

The Oxonian has played Glastonbury and BST Hyde Park, completed two successful world tours and drew 3k to a recent London show at the Troxy. His latest, Anyway I Can (Polydor/Def Jam), landed in October.

Good Neighbours have the most-streamed globally debut single by a new artist in the U.K. this year with “Home” (Some Action). The track has amassed more than 450m global streams and entered the singles charts in 13 countries, including the U.K. (#26). It has been certified platinum by the RIAA.

The indie folk duo of Oli Fox and Scott Verrill has played All Points East, Latitude, Boardmasters and Reading and Leeds and sold out its first world tour. It has also supported Benson Boone and will join Foster the People for North American dates in 2025.

Smith, who is signed to RCA, enjoyed breakout success this year thanks to his single “Stargazing,” which reached #4 in the U.K. and has tallied more than 603m global streams. His most recent track, “Nice to Meet You,” peaked at #12. Second EP A Minute… arrived earlier this month. Smith made his American TV debut in September on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
