SME EXTENDS WHITNEY HOUSTON'S LEGACY

SME's catalog division, Legacy Recordings, will release Whitney Houston's "Love Is" in partnership with The Estate of Whitney E. Houston and Primary Wave Music on Friday (11/8). The track comes from the late music icon's first-ever live concert album, Whitney Houston: The Concert for a New South African (Durban), in celebration of the 30th anniversary of her visit to South Africa.

Written by Carvin Winans and produced by Nat Adderley and Houston, “Love Is” premiered on SiriusXM’s Heart & Soul on Thursday (11/7) ahead of its wide release. It will rebroadcast at 6pm and 9pm ET. A remix of the song co-produced by Winans and Tommy Sims, “Love Is (Carvin Winans Remix)," will serve as a bonus track on the digital album.

The live concert album features music from the 1994 concert event, including “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me),” “How Will I Know" and "Greatest Love of All." There's a sense we could all use some extra love right now.
