In a holiday collaboration we truly didn't see coming, BTS' V will release a rendition of "White Christmas" 12/6 with none other than the late Bing Crosby.
Turns out V is a huge fan of Crosby, who popularized "White Christmas" in 1942.
The pairing was brought to life on the Crosby side by his estate and Primary Wave Senior Marketing Manager Jack LeVine and Digital Marketing Specialist Sarah Nekich, who logged many late hours putting it together with the BTS team at HYBE/Geffen.
"White Christmas" will be available on Holiday Picture Disc and Zoetrope Snowflake vinyl as well as Pink Picture Disc and Snowflake CDs. Those items, plus other themed merchandise, can be pre-ordered here.
V calls Crosby his "all-time favorite jazz artist" and admits to listening to "It's Been a Long, Long Time" many times per day. "Being a huge fan of his, I sang with the utmost sincerity and admiration for him, and I hope many people enjoy it as much as I enjoyed singing it," he said.
Added Crosby's daughter, Mary, "As a family, we are thrilled to have V and Dad singing together on this ultimate Christmas song. Their voices blend beautifully, capturing the holiday spirit in the best possible way.”
Meanwhile, we fear that HITS' attempts at barking out a holiday carol will be greeted, as usual, with a lump of coal.
