TOUR TIDBITS: SLAYER BEATS THE RAIN, FINAL 2024 FESTS

Metal legend Slayer reformed this year for what was planned as just three festival headline plays. Since one of them—a 9/27 appearance at Danny Wimmer Presents' Louder Than Life, in Louisville, Kentucky—was scuttled due to Hurricane Helene-driven rain, the group (K2 Agency) has agreed to a re-do at the 2025 edition of the event, which is set for 9/18-21.

Ticketholders impacted by the cancellation can receive refunds or apply credit to the purchase of a 2025 pass. Emails with additional details are forthcoming.

“Our team is hard at work finalizing an incredible lineup that we can’t wait to reveal this winter," said Wimmer.

FESTIVE FESTS: In the meantime, several major music gatherings are on the horizon before the biz shuts down for the holidays, beginning next weekend at Live Nation’s Electric Daisy Carnival, 11/8-10 in Orlando, Florida. More than 50,000 EDM fans are expected to take in sets by Diplo (Wasserman), Tiesto, Steve Aoki (WME) and Kaskade.

Corona Capital, 11/15-17, one of the biggest fests in Mexico, will be headlined by Paul McCartney (Marshall Arts), Green Day (CAA), Shawn Mendes (CAA) and Jack White (WME). Meanwhile, Rolling Loud Thailand, which organizers tout as the largest hip-hop festival in the world, will feature A$AP Rocky (CAA), Lil Wayne (UTA) and Playboi Carti 11/22-24 in Pattaya City.

Last but not least, Soundstorm 2024 will welcome Eminem (WME), Muse (CAA) and Tyler, the Creator (WME) to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 12/12-14. The event is known for its massive stages and impressive LED displays.
