J. COLE OFFERS DRAKE-KENDRICK TRUTHS ON "PORT ANTONIO"

J. Cole released surprise single "Port Antonio" Wednesday night (10/9). Over a sample of Cleo Sol’s “Know That You Are Loved,” the Dreamville/Interscope artist breaks his silence on his decision to pull out of the highly publicized beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

"They say I’m pickin’ sides/ Don’t you lie on me," he raps. "Drake, you’ll always be my n***a/ I ain’t ashamed to say you did a lot for me, my n***a/ Fuck all the narratives, tappin’ back into your magic pen is what’s imperative/ I pulled the plug because I seen where that was ’bout to go/ They wanted blood, they wanted clicks to make they pockets grow/ They see this fire in my pen and think I’m dodgin’ smoke/ I wouldn’t have lost a battle, dog, I woulda lost a bro.”

"Port Antonio" is Cole's first solo offering since April's Might Delete Later, which included the since-deleted swipe at Kendrick on "7 Minute Drill." Listen below while we take bets on how long it will take Kendrick to reply.
