KAHAN, SWIFT CROWN YTD TOP U.K. SELLERS

Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season” (Mercury/Republic) and Taylor Swift’s THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (EMI) are the best-selling single and album of 2024 so far in the U.K.

Through Q3, “Stick Season” has shifted 1.72m chart units year-to-date, including 201m combined audio and video streams.

TTPD has racked up 667.5k chart units to date. It’s both the most-streamed and best-selling album of 2024 in the U.K. so far, with a physical sales tally that tops 265k.

The rest of the singles Top 5 comprises “Beautiful Things” (Warner Records) by Benson Boone at #2, “Lose Control” (Atlantic) by Teddy Swims at #3, “Espresso” (Island) by Sabrina Carpenter at #4 and “Too Sweet” (Island) by Hozier at #5.

The Top 5 albums tally is completed by The Highlights (Republic/XO) by The Weeknd at #2, Stick Season by Kahan at #3, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT (Darkroom/Interscope) by Billie Eilish at #4 and GUTS (Geffen) by Olivia Rodrigo at #5.

UMG and Warner rule the singles Top 10 with four entries apiece, followed by Sony and the independent sector with one each. UMG reps the vast majority of the Top 10 albums list, with eight.

On both lists, U.S. acts rule and British-born artists are sparse. Oasis, Elton John and Fleetwood Mac appear on the albums tally. Irishman Hozier is the only act on the singles chart from Europe.
