BMG BOXES GEORGE HARRISON'S MATERIAL WORLD

BMG is commemorating the belated 50th anniversary of George Harrison’s 1973 album Living in the Material World with an expansive archival campaign highlighted by a super-deluxe boxed set.

Limited to 5,000 copies worldwide, the project, due 11/15 via Dark Horse/BMG, boasts two CDs and two LPs along with a bonus disc of 12 previously unreleased early renditions of every song on the album, including "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)." All material is administered by BMG Publishing.

The box also includes an exclusive 7-inch single of a never-before-heard recording of "Sunshine Life for Me (Sail Away Raymond)," featuring The Band's Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson and Rick Danko and Harrison's Beatles brother Ringo Starr.

Material World will be available in two LP and CD deluxe editions, too, as well as one CD and LP, plus limited-edition color vinyl LPs from the official Harrison online store (purple), Amazon (clear) and Barnes & Noble (orange).

“For those of you who are just discovering this album, this record was released in service and with deep love for all our brothers and sisters around the world who populate this dualistic system we live in called Earth," said Harrison's son Dhani, who oversaw the reissue.
