PARTYNEXTDOOR (pictured) has plenty to celebrate after leading the National Music Publishers’ Association’s second-quarter certs list of artist and songwriters.
The OVO Sound/Santa Anna signee, who’s published by Warner Chappell, notched 16 certifications during the period, including the diamond-certified “Work” by Rihanna and his own releases, including the 5X-platinum “Come and See Me,” and the 4X-platinum “Break From Toronto.”
BMG's Mustard also got his flowers as the top non-performing songwriter. The Angeleno, who is inked to Sony Music Publishing, was feted for Rihanna's diamond-certified “Needed Me” and the 8X-Platinum “Boo'd Up” and 6X-platinum “Trip,” both by Ella Mai (10 Summers/Interscope).
"Music has always been about bringing people together, and to see these records resonate with so many is a blessing," Mustard said. "I’m just getting started."
“This quarter honors two creators with an incredible distinction—the diamond-level certification. Both PARTYNEXTDOOR and Mustard have achieved massive success through brilliant collaborations, and we congratulate them on their incredible success," added NMPA President/CEO David Israelite.
