Pharrell Williams is returning to Hollywood with Piece by Piece, a heart-warming film about his life populated entirely by LEGO characters, and its just-released, like-titled theme song.
Directed by Oscar and Grammy winner Morgan Neville (20 Feet From Stardom, Won't You Be My Neighbor?), the animated Focus Features flick is described as “a vibrant journey" through multihyphenate Williams’ career.
"Piece by Piece" (Sony Music) was performed with the backing of the Princess Anne High School Fabulous Marching Cavaliers of the Ron Laffitte-managed artist's hometown of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The film and song come on the heels of Williams' partnership with The LEGO Group on the company’s new Over the Moon set, which boasts the widest range of mini-figure skin tones of any LEGO product.
Piece by Piece arrives in theaters on 10/11. HITS is just hoping the popcorn and Junior Mints aren't made out of LEGOs, too.
