Mercury/Republic’s Post Malone returns to #1 on the HITS Top 50 for the first time in five years with his debut country album, F-1 Trillion. The 18-track set—which has been enhanced by a Long Bed edition with nine additional cuts—features an all-star lineup of country acts, from legendary figures like Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw and Chris Stapleton to new-school hitmakers like Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs and Jelly Roll.
F-1 Trillion opens with 246k units, giving Malone the second-biggest country debut of 2024, trailing only Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER. Going country is now officially a thing.
The top of the chart is owned by House Lipman as REPUBLIC CORPS holds the week’s top four titles in Malone, Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (Amusement/Island), Taylor Swift’s THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (Republic) and Wallen’s One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury/Republic). Altogether, the East Coast label group has six Top 10 entries.
Streeting this week are new titles by Island’s Sabrina Carpenter, Cactus Jack/Epic’s Travis Scott, Broken Bow’s Lainey Wilson, One World/Warner Latina’s Myke Towers, Warner’s Warren Zeiders, Valory’s Thomas Rhett and Giant’s Cash Cobain.
Now, if you’ll excuse us, we need to go out back and scrape off the barbecue grill. Never too early to start Labor Day weekend. See the full chart here.
