SONY MUSIC REVIVES MAJOR VOTING INITIATIVE

Sony Music is relaunching its Your Voice, Your Power, Your Vote campaign in hopes of educating artists, biz professionals and communities around the country about voter registration and turnout ahead of the 11/5 presidential election.

The company is partnering on the initiative with Rock the Vote, When We All Vote, Voto Latino, Vote.org, APIAVote, Black Futures Lab and the National Black Justice Council.

Created in 2020 with the support of more than 70 Sony Music artists and songwriters, including Pharrell Williams, Bruce Springsteen and Khalid, the initiative hosted town halls with political leaders and partnered with Lyft to provide access to free and discounted rides on Election Day, among other actions.

“2024 is another important election year in the U.S. and we know people can make their voices heard through voting,” said SMG EVP/Global Philanthropy and Social Impact Towalame Austin. "We helped bring more voters out to the polls in 2020 with our partner organizations and we’re hoping to contribute to an even higher turnout this year. SMG is proud to once again use our platform to support civic participation.”
