Announced via a teaser video on Em's socials, “Tobey” once again showcases the Friday the 13th-themed iteration of the rapper's infamous Slim Shady persona. A snippet of the Cole Bennett-directed video will arrive Friday (7/5).
The track is the follow-up to the wildly successful "Houdini," the lead single from The Death of Slim Shady and Eminem's highest-charting cut since 2013’s "The Monster."
Be good to your earhole with "Tobey" while we try to decipher these double entendres.
Eminem has announced that his new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), will arrive on 7/12. The diamond-selling MC broke the news on Instagram with a clip depicting the apparent birth of his longtime alter-ego, Slim Shady. Kid seems like a handful.
The Death of Slim Shady (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) was revealed in April as the follow-up to 2020's Music To Be Murdered By. Lead single "Houdini" arrived in May with a comic book-themed video starring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Pete Davidson and comedian Shane Gillis, among others. The track samples The Steve Miller Band's 1982 hit "Abracadabra," which furnishes its magic motif.
