Primary Wave Music and Lively McCabe Entertainment have joined forces for the new production Can't Hardly Wait The Musical.
Based on the 1998 teen rom-com Can't Hardly Wait starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ethan Embry, the musical will include many of the greatest pop hits from the late '90s and early 2000s, primarily from the Primary Wave and Sony Music Publishing music catalogs.
Can't Hardly Wait The Musical is directed by Kate Sullivan and written by Sinead Daly with arrangements and orchestrations by Jesse Vargas.
“The teen rom-com narrative of Can’t Hardly Wait is relatable, fun, and heart-warming," Primary Wave CCO Natalia Nastaskin said. "We are thrilled to work with Kate, Sinead, Jesse and the Lively McCabe team and bring our vast catalog of hits to power the soundtrack of this timeless story."
The project will be overseen by Michael Barra and Allison Bressi on behalf of Lively McCabe Entertainment and Nastaskin and Ramon Villa from Primary Wave. Production plans and the remainder of the creative team will be announced at a later date. Find more information here.
