WARNER RECORDS LASSOS BOLTON FOR NASHVILLE A&R ROLE

Warner Records is doubling down on country music by naming Kelly Bolton VP of A&R, a Nashville-based role in which she will report to EVP/Head of A&R Karen Kwak.

Bolton will also work closely with Warner Co-Chairman/CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck on signing and developing the label's country artists, which include such artist development success stories as Zach Bryan, Dasha and Warren Zeiders.

Bolton comes to Warner from Tape Room Music, where she served as both VP of Creative and SVP, A&R will managing a roster of 15 songwriters. She also previously worked at Big Deal Music and Black River Entertainment.

“I’ve known Kelly for years, and her ear for talent is impeccable," Bay-Schuck said. "She’s widely admired not only in the Nashville artist and songwriter community, but throughout the industry. Her addition to the team enables us to have boots on the ground in Music City with the advantage to actively engage, sign, and develop new artists hands-on. The potential to make a major impact is limitless.”

"I’m honored to have the ability and latitude to take these artists to a mainstream label," added Bolton. "It’s a unique position. Living and working in Nashville and helping artists reach a global platform is the best of both worlds."

We'd like to remind that The Best of Both Worlds is also the name of a 2004 Van Halen compilation featuring songs sung by both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar, but you probably already knew that... right?
