WMG U.K. RALLIES FOR LONDON PRIDE

Warner Music Group will take part in the 6/29 Pride in London 2024 parade with a Sounds Like Pride float, created in partnership with U.K. LGBTQ+ radio network Gaydio.

The float will house an array of artists, songwriters, producers, DJs and radio presenters, including Atlantic Records’ new pop girl group Say Now and Warner Chappell Music U.K. artists Blythe and Lozeak. It was conceptualized by WMG’s U.K. LGBTQ+ employee resource group People of Pride, members of which will be marching alongside it.

Marcia Fray, head of DEI, EMEA at WMG said, “I hope the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies know that we stand with them in solidarity. We’re actively taking steps to ensure everybody is valued for who they are. It’s vital that we all do what we can to support our communities, artists and songwriters so they can create authentic music that’s true to their identity and appeals to a diverse audience."

Approximately 500 community groups and businesses will participate in the Pride in London parade, which will be led by Mayor Sadiq Khan. The route runs from Hyde Park Corner, through Piccadilly Circus, down Haymarket and along Pall Mall to Trafalgar Square, culminating at Whitehall Place.
