LOBA TO LEAD BMG'S RESTRUCTURED FRONTLINE TEAM

BMG is doubling down on its frontline release strategy and has promoted Jon Loba to oversee the division in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil. The newly formed label group, dubbed The Americas, will shepherd new releases, with an eye on offering its artist partners "more tailored expertise and service."

Joining Loba are a series of executives with BMG roots, including EVP Recorded Music/BMG Nashville JoJamie Hahr, who will oversee day-to-day operations at BBR Music Group and its imprints Broken Bow Records, Stoney Creek Records and Wheelhouse Records. Collectively, those labels are home to Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Jason Aldean and Blanco Brown.

Ten-year BMG vet Dan Gill will serve as EVP Recorded Music/West Coast, where he will look after recorded-music genre leads in pop, rock and R&B/hip-hop, plus international outbound repertoire. Upcoming BMG releases include projects by Wiz Khalifa, YG, Chief Keef, Logic, Kiana Lede, Polyphia and Spiritbox.

SVP, Marketing, Cyndi Lynott will take charge of the company's recorded frontline pop strategy with acts like New Kids on the Block and The Script.

SVP of Rise Records Sean Heydorn will lead frontline rock, including the Rise roster and such BMG rock signings as Lenny Kravitz and Godsmack.

SVP, Repertoire & Marketing Tim Reid will focus on R&B/hip-hop through his stewardship of RBC Records (Mick Jenkins, Run the Jewels) and jazz multihyphenate Terrace Martin's Sounds of Crenshaw label. VP, A&R & Marketing Jecoure Lamothe will be in charge of RBC's day-to-day operations.

SVP, International Marketing Shane Cosme will run point on marketing U.S. repertoire to BMG's international partners, while Miami-based VP, Repertoire & Campaign Management Zarah Ortiz will oversee strategy in Mexico and Brazil. Bryan Columbus has been named VP, Recorded Music for Canada and will be based out of the company's Toronto office.
