DIAGNOSIS: DEAL! PRIMARY WAVE TEAMS WITH SPIN DOCTORS

Primary Wave now has a pocket full of kryptonite thanks to a deal with rock band Spin Doctors that encompasses the latter's music publishing and artist royalties. The group's upcoming seventh album, due later this year, is also part of the partnership.

Best known for such '90s alternative radio and MTV hits as "Two Princes," "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong," "You Let Your Heart Go Too Fast" and "Jimmy Olsen's Blues," Spin Doctors remain staffed by core members Chris Barron (vocals), Eric Schenkman (guitar) and Aaron Comess (drums). The group is touring the U.S. this summer.

Primary Wave SVP of Business & Legal Affairs Samantha Rhulen recalled seeing Spin Doctors live in the '90s at New York's Nightingale Bar, and said, "Never could I have imagined that 30 years later, I would be overseeing our partnership with the band here at Primary Wave. It has brought back a ton of memories for me, and I am thrilled they are now part of the PW family."

For their part, the Doctors said they are "absolutely certain" they've "found the perfect partner to represent our catalog and continue to get our music out to the next generation and beyond." Sounds like the right diagnosis!

Now kick that Hacky Sack over in our general direction, won't ya?
