A2IM WELCOMES MACHUROV, CZECH EXECS
Ahead of this year's A2IM Indie Week in New York, the organization has named Alex Machurov its head of business development. Machurov will oversee strategic partnerships and sponsorship opportunities for Indie Week and the Libera Awards.
Machurov (pictured) previously spent 10 years at Superfly Presents, where he led brand sponsorships and activations for such festivals as Bonnaroo and Outside Lands. He's also served as chief revenue officer at Revolution Marketing and VP of National Events & Experiential Partnerships at iHeartMedia.
"Alex's expertise and passion for the independent music community will enrich our current activities and steer A2IM to more expansive opportunities," A2IM CEO Richard James Burgess said. "We welcome his vast network of connections and the knowledge he brings to the independent sector."
Meanwhile, A2IM has announced a partnership with SoundCzech aimed at spotlighting Czech culture and talent and facilitating new business ventures. The organization will host a 6/12 party at New York's Flux Studios featuring performances by Petrofski, Matej Burda, Never Sol and recent Eurovision contestant Aiko.
On 6/13, SoundCzech will stage a panel discussion at the Intercontinental Times Square Hotel with Czech music biz professionals such as Musicraft founder Radek Vašíček and Animal Music founder Petr Ostrouchov.
