HOLLY GLEASON SCORES SEVEN SOCAL JOURNALISM NOMS

Our own Holly Gleason has been nominated for seven SoCal Journalism Awards from the Los Angeles Press Club in the categories of Entertainment Journalist, Columnist for Magazines and Criticism of Music. Two of the nominated pieces, “The War & Treaty's Sacred/Spiritual Duality” and “In Your Love: Tyler Childers Melts Genre, Romantic Barriers,” appeared in HITS and right here on this website.

In 2023, Holly was crowned Entertainment Journalist of the Year by the Los Angeles Press Club at the Southern California Media Awards. Late last year, she received nine nominations from the National Entertainment Journalism Association, four of them wholly or partly in recognition of her writing for HITS. These noms included the org’s highest honor, Journalist of the Year.
