GOROTIZA EARNS VP STRIPES AT ISLAND

Island Records has upped Jenny Gorotiza to VP of marketing, in which capacity she'll continue to lead campaigns for acts such as Shawn Mendes, keshi, Jessie Reyez, Lauren Spencer Smith and SleazyWorld Go.

A former HITS Noisemaker, Gorotiza has been with Island since 2021. Before that, she served at 12Tone Music Group, where she helped elevate artists such as Anderson .Paak, as well as Island Def Jam, Republic Records and Roc Nation. Her first label showcase while a Def Jam intern was none other than JAY-Z introducing then-new artists Rihanna and Ne-Yo.

"I've always felt deeply passionate about developing the artists I work with and helping bring their vision to life," Gorotiza said. "It's rare to get to do what you love on a daily basis, and I don't take this for granted. I stated my career as an intern at IDJ and feel lucky to have made my way back to Island as we're transitioning into a new era."
