Beer and cheese-curd sales were likely through the roof at American Family Field in Milwaukee 4/12-13 as country upstart Luke Combs broke the ballpark's concert-attendance record by drawing a combined 86,000 fans to his two concerts there.
The show was organized by Jonathan Shank's Terrapin Station Sports, which works with 16 professional sports stadiums to bring shows by A-list talent to local markets. The company is also behind recent diamond blowouts by Billy Joel, Stevie Nicks, Sting, Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown, among others.
Meanwhile, Combs leads the nominations for the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards with eight, including Entertainer, Male Artist, Album for Gettin' Old and Song and Single of the Year for his smash cover of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car."
