DISCOGS ADDS TO RSD SHOPPING

If the idea of rising early on 4/20 and schlepping to a record store to join the hordes gathered for Record Store Day exclusives is unappealing, Discogs is offering a global shopping alternative.

Beginning at 3pm ET/noon PT on 4/22, Discogs will be powering a centralized online shopping experience called Record Store Day Afters.

This cooperative initiative will feature official RSD stores from more than 13 countries offering RSD releases. This includes exclusive titles that are only available in certain RSD regions. Additionally, Discogs will offer RSD-focused content, record-collecting guides and more all in this one online destination.

“The same goal unites us—to empower record collectors and record stores—so it’s exciting to collaborate with these regional Record Store Day organizations to increase these participating stores’ visibility during one of the busiest times in the vinyl industry,” said Discogs VP of Marketing Jeffrey Smith.

Maybe, just maybe, you’ll be able to score a colored vinyl version of Elektryczne Gitary’s Huśtawki from a shop in Poland.
