WARNER'S NEW SVP POP PROMO HAS THE REICH STUFF

Warner Records has upped Josh Reich to SVP Top 40 promotion. In overseeing the label’s Pop radio efforts, the Chicago-based Reich will report to EVP of Promotion & Commerce Mike Chester.

Reich, who joined the label in 2011 and most recently served as VP Top 40 promotion & digital strategy, has worked with such acts as Dua Lipa, Benson Boone, Bebe Rexha, Teddy Swims and David Guetta, to name a few. After earning an econ degree at the University of Iowa, he began his music career at WXRT/Chicago in 1997; he entered the label world as a promo assistant at A&M and subsequently worked in the promo trenches at RCA before landing at the Bunny.

Chester's quote declares that Reich "brings outstanding depth and knowledge to his position," adding, "His reputation and results are first-class, matched only by his ability to close. He truly embodies our culture of artist development, and I'm thrilled to have him leading our pop efforts at this exciting time in our label’s history. Also, he has promised to ship me a case of Polish dogs from Redhot Ranch on the regular."

Reich said he was "honored and excited" by his new role and thanked label bosses Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck as well as Chester "for this incredible opportunity to lead the best team in the business. I look forward to expanding our chart share across the format and breaking new artists with our amazing partners at radio. And tell Mike that if he asks for ketchup on those dogs, we’re gonna have a problem."
