John Janick, who has been tasked with overseeing UMG's West Coast portfolio of labels, is very much in the spotlight. Having added Capitol Music Group to his current IGA empire, Janick has placed erstwhile Geffen chief Tom March atop CMG and acted quickly to move artist Yeat to the label (via imprint Field Trip), just in time for the rapper's #1 chart debut. Lillia Parsa, meanwhile, has come in as president. It's an auspicious start for Janick, March and teams, who sincerely hope we never venture west of the 405.
