IOVINE & YOUNG CENTER AUCTION OF FINE ART TO BENEFIT PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Sotheby’s, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine are currently hosting the online Iovine and Young Center Benefit Auction, which will remain open for bids through the 2/27 finale. Organized by PULSE Music Group co-CEO Josh Abraham and gallerist David Kordansky, the concluding event will be presided over by James Corden.

The fundraiser coincides with Frieze Los Angeles, the city's annual art fair. Participating artists include Ed Ruscha, Reggie Burrows Hodges, Ann Craven, Noah Davis and Derek Fordjour.

Said Iovine: "The Sotheby’s team, David Kordansky, Josh Abraham and all the artists involved share an understanding that education unlocks creative potential. The auction will help us raise awareness and critical funds for the Iovine and Young Center within the artistic community and work towards our vision to scale the successful program we created at USC in 2013 beyond Los Angeles. The ambition is to provide multidisciplinary learning for public-high-school students everywhere technology, design and business intersect, preparing them for life in the real world."

Avid art collectors, Iovine and Abraham recently worked together on the exhibition "Artists Inspired by Music: Interscope Reimagined."

"Jimmy and I have a history of collaborating on art and music-related projects, so it was natural for us to conceptualize this event as a convergence of music and fine arts to benefit the mission of the Iovine and Young Center," Abraham added. "Coming together with David Kordansky was the perfect fit. Once he got involved, he brought together his community of artists and tapped into Sotheby’s, which shares our mission."
