WCM IS COOKING WITH COCO

WCM has inked a pub pact with High Standardz/Def Jam's Coco Jones, who's up for five Grammys at the 2/4 ceremony, including Best New Artist. Seen hoping this photo doesn't end up in our grubby mitts are (l-r) WCM co-Chair/CEO Guy Moot, Jones, President, North America Ryan Press and Senior Director, Urban A&R Xavier Champagne.

"Coco is a natural superstar," reads a quote from Champagne. Press further praised her "unique" voice and "hustle and work ethic."

Jones started recording at nine before pivoting to acting; she starred in the Disney film Let It Shine and sitcom Good Luck Charlie. Between 2014 and 2018 she released music independently, including the songs “Depressed” and “Just My Luck,” which amassed more than 4.2m YouTube views. In 2019, the singer issued her eight-track EP H.D.W.Y., followed by “Hollyweird” in 2020. She went on to star in Peacock’s Bel-Air, a dramatic reinterpretation of '90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Her 2023 EP, What I Didn't Tell You, was significantly boosted by the gold single "ICU."
