TOP 50: REPUBLIC'S 2024 LINEUP STARTS STRONG

Republic’s 2024 is off to a rollicking start, as the label maintains the #1 position on the HITS Top 50 for a second week this year—this time thanks to Big Loud/Mercury’s Morgan Wallen, whose 2023 album leader One Thing at a Time rules with 61k. House Lipman holds the top five spots on the chart, with Drake, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj and Noah Kahan behind Morgan.

Kahan’s Stick Season leaps to #5, its highest position since the arrival of the deluxe edition, Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever), which bowed at #3 last June. Swift once again has eight albums in the Top 25, a stat that will never cease to blow our minds.

Country superstar Wallen’s 2022 set, Dangerous: The Double Album, sits just outside the Top 10. Warner troubadour Zach Bryan also has two albums in the Top 15, 2023’s eponymous release (#9) and 2022’s American Heartbreak (#15).

Streeting this week are new titles by Slaughter Gang/Epic’s 21 Savage, Republic’s Kid Cudi and Geffen’s Kali Uchis as well as Paramount/Interscope’s Mean Girls soundtrack.

In political news, the GOP is said to be considering the removal of yet another House Speaker after less than three months. And in a related story, we have officially run out of jokes about the 118th Congress.
