IT’S THE YEAR-END MEDIABASE CHART-SHARE WRAP-UP (BROUGHT TO YOU BY FEDEX, BUDDY)

Gary Spangler’s Republic promotion team, having simply crushed it in 2023, takes the year-end Mediabase Overall Chart Share crown—which isn’t an actual crown, though we plan to buy one at the party store to put on Spanky’s head—with a stunning 18.6 share. The crew also ruled at Top 40 (27.4, come on!), Rhythm (21.5), Hot AC (19.8) and Triple A (9.2).

The Keith Rothschild-led RCA promo squad came in second overall with a strong 15 share and dominated R&B (18.6) and Urban (18). Team Nipper also nabbed the silver at Pop (17.3) and Rhythm (17.5).

Peter Gray and his Columbia crew took third place overall with 10.1 and landed in the same spot at Pop (14.2) while notching a #2 finish at Hot AC (18.1).

Brenda Romano, Chris Lopes and company at Interscope also earned a Top 5 finish overall, with an 8.4 share.

The Song of the Year at Pop was The Weeknd’s “Die for You” (XO/Republic). At Rhythm it was “Creepin’,” by Metro Boomin f/The Weeknd & 21 Savage (Boominati/Epic/Republic). Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” (Columbia) earned the bouquet at Hot AC. The Leading Vibe/RCA’s Tems held court at Urban and R&B with “Free Mind.” And Linkin Park’s “Lost” (Warner) ruled at Alternative and Active Rock.
