SHE IS THE MUSIC LAUNCHES MIXHER

Nonprofit She Is the Music and music-collaboration platform EngineEars have launched MixHer, a Dolby Atmos training and certification program for female audio engineers.

Supported by Bose, Dolby and Universal Music Group, MixHer will also offer panels with music professionals and networking opportunities. All qualifying applicants will be offered access to an online self-training course, and 20 qualifying participants will attend a three-day certification event 2/23-25 at Nashville's East Iris Studios.

Said Michelle Arkuski, executive director of She Is the Music, "With low numbers of women engineers represented in music, there is both a significant need and major opportunity to create change for good. Alongside our wonderful partners, we are thrilled to be launching MixHer to support and amplify talented female creators."

MixHer registration is open through 12/12. For more information and to submit applications, click here.

Now, if you'll excuse us, we have to get back to working on our album of Wilhelm Scream remixes.
