BOOMY TO BRING AI-ENHANCED
ACTS TO ADA

Warner Music Group's ADA Worldwide has joined forces on a distribution partnership with AI-generative music-creation platform, label and publisher Boomy Corporation, better known as Boomy.

The latter’s A&R team will upstream artists through ADA who've availed themselves of Boomy’s creator-enabling music-making tools, including Denver rapper Jelie, AI-enhanced German harpist Katirha, Boston beatmaker-producer Lightfoot, New York multihyphenate Paperboy Prince (pictured) and the found-sounds project Plague of Grackels.

Unlike other AI-powered platforms, Boomy does not train its machine-learning models on copyrighted musical works without consent from rightsholders. In 2021 the company won a grant from the ASCAP Lab and NYC Media Lab to develop and expand its prototype technology.

“We are proud to partner with ADA, which shares our desire to nurture unique talent while supporting a creative group of AI-empowered artists,” reads a joint statement by Boomy co-founders Alex Mitchell and Matthew Santorelli. “This partnership will lead to incredible opportunities for Boomy artists to reach new audiences and help amplify how they make and share their music.”

Added ADA president Cat Kreidich, “We’re living in an incredibly exciting moment at the nexus of music and technology. We’re learning, we’re experimenting and we’re responsibly exploring ways to meet this moment. The Boomy team is providing artists with the tools to unleash new forms of creativity, and we’re excited to help take that to the next level, bringing the best of Boomy to the marketplace in an impactful and strategic way.”
