The rollout for The Book of Clarence soundtrack has begun with the release of director Jeymes Samuel’s “Hallelujah Heaven” f/Lil Wayne, Buju Banton and Shabba Ranks.
Written and produced by Samuel and released via Roc Nation, the cut is accompanied by The Book of Clarence trailer and a list of artists who will appear on the film’s soundtrack, including JAY-Z, Kid Cudi, Jorja Smith and Yemi Alade.
“There was never a question as to whether I would compose the score and write and perform on the soundtrack, as well as write and direct the movie—it was all one amazing journey where one depended on the other,” Samuels said. “But I also worked with the most awesome artists on our track ‘Hallelujah Heaven.’ Collaborating with Lil Wayne, Buju Banton and Shabba Ranks was so dope, I loved getting them all on the same track.”
The Book of Clarence stars LaKeith Stanfield as the lead character and hits theaters on 1/12. Until then, check out "Hallelujah Heaven" below and keep scrolling to watch the trailer. We'll be over here trying to turn water into wine.
