"STYLE" POINTS: SWIFT'S HUGE STREAMS

Just another day at the office for Ms. Swift—Republic's Taylor Swift put up enormous streaming numbers on the first day of activity for 1989 (Taylor's Version).

"Style (Taylor's Version)" opened at #1 on Spotify global with 11.6m streams. "Slut (From the Vault)" followed at #2 with 11.3m streams. Songs from Swift's latest re-recording occupied the top 15 spots worldwide at Spotify, with the top five tracks earning north of 10m streams each.

On Spotify's U.S. chart, Swift holds the top 21 positions, with "Slut" leading at #1 with 5.2m streams. "Slut" also reached #1 at Apple Music on 10/27 and by 10/28, Swift held 16 of the top 25 spots on Apple Music.

Nerds across the biz continue to calculate streams to see how 1989 (TV) stacks up against previous Swift blockbusters—yes, her only competition is herself. Stay tuned for the official record-setting figures.
