BJEA TO HOST HIP-HOP 50 PANEL

The Black Jewish Entertainment Alliance will host a panel discussion to honor the 50th anniversary of hip-hop on Thursday (9/14) at the Recording Academy's offices in Santa Monica, California.

Moderated by cultural critic Justin Hunte, the event will see the participation of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rapper Layzie Bone, We Working and Lobel Music Group CEO Steve Lobel, Loud Records founder Steve Rifkind, Xzibit and Blood of Abraham artist Mazik.

The panelists will share their stories and reflections on 50 years of hip-hop and its impact on society. The conversation will also explore the bonds of the Black and Jewish communities through the lens of hip-hop.

The BJEA discussion, which will begin at 7pm PT with a reception to follow, is open to all. RSVP here. Naturally, we're just going for the dessert table.
