SOFI SHIMMERS IN SILVER FOR BEYONCÉ

Beyoncé's RENAISSANCE World Tour descended on SoFi Stadium Friday (9/1), the first of three dates at the Los Angeles venue. At Bey's request, fans were adorned in silver to celebrate not only her birthday but also Virgo season. Celebrities came out in droves, with Selena Gomez, Ben Platt, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kelly Rowland, Gabrielle Union, Kris Jenner and Offset among the tens of thousands in attendance.

The tour is now the highest-grossing ever by a female artist, at more than $461m. The previous record holder was Madonna, whose Sticky & Sweet Tour brought in roughly $407m in 2008 and 2009.

Kid Cudi posted about his experience on X (the social-media site formerly known as Twitter), writing, "Just saw Beyoncé perform for the very first time and my face melted. This was the greatest concert I've ever been to. Fuckin unreal. Happy early Bday B!!" The third SoFi show takes place on Monday (9/4), the Queen's 42nd birthday.

Produced by Parkwood Entertainment and promoted by Live Nation, the 56-date trek began in Stockholm, Sweden, on 5/10. It will wrap up on 10/1 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Beyoncé's tour-proceeds record may ultimately be short-lived; by the time Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concludes in 2024, she's projected to have had the biggest such outing of all time, at more than $1.4b.
