ASCAP HITS A HIGH NOTE

The ASCAP Foundation, led by President Paul Williams and Executive Director Nicole George-Middleton, has joined forces with the DC Jazz Festival, which will transpire 8/30-9/3 at The Wharf in ... wait for it ... Washington, D.C.

DC JazzFest will feature a performance by 2023 ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award recipient Chase Elodia, who will be joined by his band, The Perennials, on 9/2.

“Our work with DC JazzFest, like our program with The Herb Alpert Foundation, provides another valuable opportunity to shine a spotlight on emerging jazz composers,” said George-Middleton. “We look forward to working with DC JazzFest in the coming years and introducing its fans to some of our best rising jazz talent.”

DC JazzFest President/CEO Sunny Sumter added, “We're delighted to collaborate with The ASCAP Foundation to highlight their support for jazz, and we look forward to some exciting festival performance from their award-winning young jazz creators.”
