An exhibit dubbed "Hip Hop Til Infinity: An Immersive Trip Across 50 Years," will open 7/26 at New York's Hall des Lumières. Co-produced by Mass Appeal and SUPERBIEN in partnership with SME’s Certified the show will bring 50 years of hip-hop to life through some of the culture’s most celebrated moments.
Using state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, the digital installation will feature virtual concerts, live panels and conversations, listening parties and artist meet-and-greets.
"Hip Hop Til Infinity," a clear nod to Souls of Mischief’s "'93 Til Infinity," is just the latest installment in Mass Appeal’s Hip-Hop 50 initiative. The genre officially breaks the half-century mark on 8/11, the day in 1973 that DJ Kool Herc and his sister Cindy Campbell threw their Back to School Jam at 1520 Sedgwick in the Bronx. Some of us have been trying to master the pop and lock ever since.
Tickets to "Hip Hop Til Infinity" are currently on sale via Ticketmaster.
