"Hey, you guys," says Create Music Group co-founder/CEO Jonathan Strauss during this pooch-tastic photo op to commemorate the company's acquisition of entertainment-content creator Music for Pets, "do you think these canines could do a better job of captioning this photo than whichever HITS slob has been assigned the task?" "Not only that," noted co-founder/COO Alexandre Williams, "but they could do it without pooping on the floor." Seen before rewarding a TikTok influencer with a biscuit are (l-r) Create co-founder Wayne Hampton, Strauss, Music for Pets founder Amman Ahmed and Williams, along with the exceptionally well-behaved Monty, Hugo and Bowie, who collectively have fewer fleas than our editorial department.
Founded in 2017 by Ahmed and Ricardo Henriquez, Music for Pets was inspired by Henriquez’s own dog, who struggled with anxiety caused by loud noises in his neighborhood in El Salvador. Nicknamed “Petflix,” the entertainment and music streamer currently soothes more than 20 million pets worldwide. With the July 4 fireworks onslaught looming, that'll be a relief to many dog and cat owners. Our own pets, though, are too stoned on liver-flavored gummies to care.
