TAG, THEY'RE IT! SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

Strong, distinctive female voices have perked up the ears of Shazam users as songs featuring Dolores O’Riordan, Adele and Nina Simone populate the Shazam U.S. Top 100 Biggest Movers.

The Cranberries’ “Dreams” (Island) from 1993 runs up the chart thanks to a sync on Ted Lasso, the Apple TV+ show also responsible for the rise of Tekno’s 2020 track “Enjoy” (Island).

Adele’s two-year-old “I Drink Wine” (Columbia) takes a ride up the Shazam Top 100 after she was featured on James Corden’s final Carpool Karaoke. Simone’s 1964 gem “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” (Verve) finds a new audience courtesy of its use on multiple episodes of Max’s Love & Death.

Blighty is equally intrigued by another once-in-a-generation female talent as Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now” tops the Shazam U.K. Top 100’s Biggest Gainers list. Released 54 years ago this week, the song was featured on a recent episode of Netflix’s Firefly Lane.
